Tribal Tech’s 2019 summer intern program has been a tremendous success, thanks to the following four students who have been great assets to the company.   This year we really wanted people to get to know the outstanding young men who have spent their time with us instead of at the beach. So, we asked them to write a little bit about themselves. Please take a few moments to get to know them better.

My name is Dylan Hirt, and I am a rising Sophomore at Fordham University’s Gabelli School of Business. I grew up in Alexandria, Virginia and attended Gonzaga College High School. I played basketball competitively for most of my life and continue to enjoy spending my free time shooting hoops and playing video games with friends. As an intern at Tribal Tech, I am working with the Business Development team to find new opportunities for contracts, as well as researching other firms for possible partnerships. My experience at Tribal Tech has been fruitful because I have learned the inner workings of federal contracting and had my first exposure to a workplace environment. The Tribal Tech team has been very welcoming and engaged, which creates a fun and productive atmosphere around the office.

My name is Dillon King and I am a senior in high school. I wanted an internship with Tribal Tech to explore my interest in computer science. I plan to go to college for a degree in computer science, specifically in cybersecurity. I have always been interested in computers. While at Tribal Tech I have worked under Greg to learn more about computer science and to help others who submit Help Desk tickets. I also had a chance to go onsite to support an event using the Adobe Connect platform. This was a gathering of tribal leaders in the Midwest, working with Seprieono, Maria Trevizo, and other team members. My main job was making sure the Adobe Connect screen was being shared so all the participants could see all the comments. Maria asked that I help her with some of the event, like collecting participants’ votes and assisting with running the microphone to the audience. I plan on returning to Tribal Tech next summer before I start college.

My name is Bennett Miller. I am from Alexandria, Virginia and currently a rising senior at the University of Mary Washington (UMW) in Fredericksburg, Virginia. I am a Communications and Digital Studies major, and a member of the UMW Men’s Lacrosse Team. My twin brother Zach is also an intern here at Tribal Tech. During my first few weeks at Tribal Tech, I have been working with the HR department on editing and improving the orientation PowerPoint for new hires. I enjoy interning at Tribal Tech because they share the same guiding principles of people, performance, and partnership as some of the sports teams that I have been a part of. These principles were very important to the success of those teams. And being able to be part of that in the past has helped me contribute a lot here at Tribal Tech.

My name is Zach Miller and I am a rising senior at the University of Mary Washington (UMW). I am a Communications and Digital Studies Major and a Sports Management Minor. I play lacrosse at UMW and in my free time I enjoy playing other sports, such as basketball and soccer. In addition to playing sports I also like watching tv shows and movies. Some of my favorites include, Game of Thrones, Stranger Things and The Sopranos. At Tribal Tech I am working as a communications intern. Some of my duties include running the social media accounts for Tribal Tech and creating other digital content that relates to the company, such as write-ups and videos. Tribal Tech has a great work environment and I am really enjoying interning here. My time working here has been very beneficial to me because I have been able to gain a lot of experience in the communications field.
